JAMES-PAUL MARIN

Vintner & Owner

James-Paul Marin Winemaker

James-Paul Marin is an Australian winemaker and entrepreneur. After discovering his love for wine as a cellar hand in McLaren Vale at Scarpantoni Estate in 2000, he pursued a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Oenology at Adelaide University, and was part of the winemaking team that won the Jimmy Watson Trophy with Cabernet Sauvignon in 2007.

James-Paul then became a 'flying winemaker,' completing vintages in France, Italy, and New Zealand. He worked for one of Australia's largest commercial wineries, Boar's Rock, before creating his own wine company in 2012.

After leaving that company in 2015, he founded Handcrafted Enfant Terrible Wines, which were sold exclusively online and through Naked Wines. In 2021, he established Wild Winds Vintners Co. and planted a small vineyard of Shiraz and Chardonnay on the South Coast of NSW. James-Paul's approachable, sustainable, vegan-friendly wines are made to be shared with friends and family.

I’m excited for the next ‘wild’ chapter!
